Leading mobility technology and services company FOD Mobility Group has seen record transactional growth across its Fleetondemand ground transportation product, and it’s B2B MaaS platform, Mobilleo. The growth comes as more and more businesses return to normal post-pandemic, which has resulted in an additional revenue growth of £30.1 million for the company heading into 2023.

The Fleetondemand automotive mobility platform saw a significant increase in vehicle rental transactions, reaching over 500,000 vehicle rental days. FOD attributes this record growth to the adoption of its services from new customer wins in the UK and from newly acquired customers in target markets across Europe.

The new FOD Ride, taxi and private hire service has seen huge growth in demand since it was integrated into the Fleetondemand platform, processing over 51,000 new bookings last year alone.

This growth looks set to continue further with an accelerated sales and marketing drive and major customer rollouts on both platforms this year. The first rollout will be going live in over 20 countries, along with a major MaaS platform deployment to be announced in Q2.

FOD plans to continue its drive for innovation with the launch of an upgraded version of the Fleetondemand platform in July 2023. The new release will feature a fully integrated suite of services including Select Plus (flexible vehicle hire) EV Plus (flexible EV hire), FOD Share (car sharing) and an upgraded international vehicle hire service alongside its existing core vehicle hire and taxi services.

FOD’s Mobilleo MaaS platform, powering mobility budget and business travel, also experienced growth during 2022 as customers returned to work and looked for new ways to satisfy employees in relation to their mobility options. Growth in Europe is also being accelerated with the upcoming launch in Belgium and Holland. The next iteration of the Mobilleo platform V2.0 is an all-new native app due for release to the market in May this year.

The company’s outstanding business growth in 2022 was bolstered by its second appearance in the Financial Times’ FT 1000 list of Europe’s fastest growing companies, and inclusion in the Northern Tech Awards top 100 fastest growing tech companies for the fourth consecutive year.

Last year also saw the continued expansion of the business into several European markets with the opening of three new office locations in Ireland, Germany and France. Plans are already underway to increase its presence with the introduction of three additional offices in Belgium, Spain and Holland by the end of 2023.

FOD’s ambitious growth plans have been supported by a significant investment in recruitment with 44 new appointments being made across all departments since January last year, including several senior level roles. To accommodate this additional resource the business moved its Yorkshire headquarters to new, larger premises in October.

Justin Whitston, CEO and Founder at FOD Mobility Group, commented: “We’re continuing to invest in the business to ensure we remain at the forefront of the mobility services sector, which includes over £2.85 million in product development.

“Our outstanding performance demonstrates huge resilience against a challenging backdrop for the travel and automotive industries in recent years. Our organic growth is set to continue with the announcement of two significant UK and pan-European customer projects this year, powered respectively by our Mobilleo and Fleetondemand platforms.”
