FOD Mobility Group, a leading mobility technology and services provider, today announced its decision to focus on its core Fleetondemand business, while considering options for its Mobility as a Service platform, Mobilleo.

The move follows the recent appointment of Joe Howick as Group CEO, marking his first major strategic decision to streamline operations and concentrate 100 per cent of the company's efforts on the Group’s ground transportation offering.

Fleetondemand encompasses its advanced technology platform GT Suite, which integrates multiple forms of ground transportation, including vehicle rental, taxi, car sharing and pool fleet management services. The platform enhances customers' vehicle booking and management experience, offering unmatched vehicle availability with access to more rental vehicles and branch locations than any other rental supplier in the UK.

The company also offers a tailored white label solution for its GT Suite platform, which has seen an increase in demand from major rental suppliers, fleet operators and trade organisations looking to provide bespoke, end-to-end vehicle rental management services directly to their own customers.

Fleetondemand’s upcoming product launches include an enhanced version of the current on-demand and pre-booked taxi service FOD Ride, boasting an extensive network of operators throughout the UK and Europe. A new FOD Pool service will offer businesses centralised booking and management of their own pool fleet vehicles, plus access to flexible mid-term rental vehicles, driver information and detailed management reporting, all in one place.

Both services will be integrated within the GT Suite platform, further expanding Fleetondemand's comprehensive ground transport solutions. These additions align with the company's commitment to providing flexible, technology-driven mobility options that cater to diverse business needs.

Howick commented: "After a comprehensive review of our business strategy and market opportunities, we have decided to sharpen our focus on our core strengths. The vehicle rental market offers significant growth potential, with projections indicating robust expansion over the next few years, driven by increasing demand for flexible, short and mid-term vehicle access among businesses.
“Fleetondemand is uniquely positioned to capitalise on this trend, having already experienced record growth over the last few years in the adoption of our services from new customer wins in the UK, and from newly acquired customers in target markets across Europe. On top of the company’s planned organic growth, we are also considering the potential to make strategic acquisitions to further strengthen our market position.”

The company's decision is further bolstered by Fleetondemand's proven track record and longstanding blue-chip customer base, underscored by its recent wins at the Great British Fleet Awards and Business Motoring Awards earlier this year for its innovative GT Suite platform. Moreover, Fleetondemand has recently been shortlisted in three supplier categories for the upcoming Business Car Awards event in September.
