Leading multi-platform technology company FOD Mobility Group has been featured alongside the UK’s most innovative transport technology creators for 2021 in the TransportTech 50.
The inaugural annual ranking was compiled by tech media company BusinessCloud and recognises UK companies that are creating original technology for mobility, transportation, wayfinding and logistics.
Following the creation of an 83-strong shortlist, the final ranking was decided by a combination of selections from an independent judging panel and a public vote among readers of BusinessCloud, which attracted more than 1,200 votes.
The judges included James Padden, head of future roads technology at the Department for Transport, Teodora Kaneva, head of smart infrastructure and systems at techUK, Sammy Fry, net zero lead at Tech Nation, and BusinessCloud’s editor, Jonathan Symcox.
FOD Mobility Group joined six other Yorkshire companies in this year’s report, and was featured alongside other leading tech innovators such as Autocab, Passenger, Liftshare, Justpark and Citymapper. The top spot was taken by London-based global addressing system What3words, which allows navigation to any corner of the globe with just three words.
FOD Mobility Group’s Founder and CEO, Justin Whitston, commented: “We’re proud to have been recognised among the UK’s top 50 transport and mobility technology innovators. It is a fantastic achievement to have received this recognition and testament to the hard work of everyone across the business during a very challenging period for the transport sector.”
