Fleetondemand has secured second position in the Northern Tech Awards’ Top 100 Fastest Growing Tech Companies 2020.

The seventh annual awards ceremony was held as a live online event on 27th May by leading technology advisory and investment firm GP Bullhound for hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders from the global tech community.

The event, moderated by Edie Lush, international technology journalist, author and MC, showcased and celebrated the fastest growing and most promising tech companies in the north of England and Scotland, based on their revenue growth between 2017 and 2019.

Fleetondemand, which operates from headquarters in Saltaire, West Yorkshire with a separate technical development centre located in Leeds city centre, was recognised for achieving an impressive 129% growth rate over the last three years.

Hugh Campbell, Managing Partner at GP Bullhound, and host at the awards commented:

“The high quality and quantity of the entrants at these awards show just how vibrant the Northern technology sector is, regardless of who ultimately wins in each category. The thriving Northern tech sector is now very well established, and technology companies are an increasingly important part of the mix of businesses in our cities and towns.”

The awards demonstrated that the software sector, largely comprised of enterprise software companies, has 28 companies in the Top 100. The software sector has the highest proportion of companies in the Top 10 with four (three of which are in the Top 5), highlighting that many of the fastest growing companies in the region are software companies.

Justin Whitston, Founder and CEO at Fleetondemand said:

“We’re delighted to be announced as the 2nd fastest growing tech company in the North of England and Scotland. To be recognised alongside so many thriving and innovative technology businesses in this year’s top 100 league table is a remarkable achievement.
“It’s also testament to all the hard work and dedication of the team here at Fleetondemand and the ongoing support we receive from our loyal customers to ensure the continued growth and success of the business.
“The next phase of our ambitious growth strategy includes the launch of our MaaS and vehicle rental technology platforms into the European market later this year. This expansion will pave the way for Fleetondemand to be at the heart of the drive for connected mobility on a global scale.”
